FTA Issues FONSI for Delco Lead Storage and Inspection Facility

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI)  for NJ TRANSIT’s Delco Lead Storage and Inspection Facility. The FONSI, issued on February 17, 2016, followed FTA’s review of the December 2015 Environmental Assessment / Draft Section 4(f) Evaluation for the project, which was prepared in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Section 4(f) of the U.S. DOT Act. The Delco Lead Storage and Inspection Facility project is designed to enhance the efficiency and reliability of train service before, during, and after a weather event by developing the under-utilized Delco Lead Storage and Inspection Facility, strategically located in an inland area not susceptible to flooding.
